Breast cancer affects one in eight women during their lives. My cousin, Selina (more like a sister to me), was disgnosed with breast cancer a few years ago. A serious operation to remove both breasts and subsequent radiotherapy to remove a recurrence of lumps has shown me how fragile the everyday lives we lead can be.
